It’s officially October and and Halloween recipe season has begun. This Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip is sure to be the star at your Halloween party!

Now, truth be told, I made this recipe for Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip last year, for a Halloween birthday party, and since I felt it may have been a little to late in the season last year to post this Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip recipe, I saved this post a whole year.

This stole the show. I served this with graham cracker flavored cookies, and everyone devoured it. I mean my kids couldn’t get enough. They walked around with the platter. They kept going back for more, they took the platter in the living room and watched scary movies with it. Yeah it’s that good.

And super easy.

I was making a Wizard of Oz birthday cake, and other food for our guests, including pumpkin shaped puff pastry to place on top of beef stew, a guacamole dip, that looks like a pumpkin is throwing it up, and I also placed spinach dip in the top of that pumpkin as well, and green deviled eggs.

That’s why I just needed to make this Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip as simple as possible, so I just bought a ready made pumpkin pie, and scooped out half of the filling from it , in a big mixing bowl.
I added half a tub of cool whip, and half a block of cream cheese, and mixed well to combine.

I placed in in a small bowl, and placed the bowl in a cleaned out pumpkin, for serving. It looked awesome! Although I didn’t have to much time to ad details to the face, but that’s ok.

It still came out delicious!

I hope you have a chance to try this dip at your next Halloween party!
