As I may have told you before, the tradition in my family on this day, is to set out, or spill some whiskey outside, to offer a gift to the lucky leprechauns. I have not done this in some time, but it was a cute gesture. Kind of like setting out milk and cookies for Santa. We always celebrate this holiday with a Shamrock Shake, and if we can catch the parade from Chicago on TV, we will watch it. When I was a teen, my family lived in Chicago, and I got to see first hand, the annual dying of the Chicago river. I got to see the parade that Ferris Bueller made famous, and drink their famous shake!
