14 Delicious Foods To Try, and Also Things To Do at Knott’s Merry Farm!

In the 1920’s, in a little town called Buena Park in California, a roadside fruit stand started selling, and soon became a restaurant that served up some serious fried chicken dinners. Since then, it has turned into one of Southern California’s must see theme park! It is one of our family favorite destinations.

And to this day, not only do they have some of the best rides around, but they also still serve some of the best food in LA as well. Every year, during holiday season, Knott’s Berry Farm, turns into Knotts Merry Farm. We start off by walking past the Marketplace, where you will find, various stores, and shops, like The Emporium, which has Christmas decor, an Ornaments all year long, but they really go all out during the holidays, I mean just look at this tree!

We took the kids to the Snoopy on ice show many years ago, when they were just little runts. When we went this year, the ice show was not playing, because showtimes, are only on weekends. But I remember, that when we did take them, my kids loved this show, and it will be forever in my heart as the best on ice show ever!!

Nowadays, my kids- well they are 17, and 19, so pretty much adults, but as you know, our kids will always be babies to us. Anyway, they just run to the rides, like the new and improved Ghost Rider Wooden Coaster, that now has leather seats, and is smoother, and faster than ever!!

After the ride ended, which we timed at 3 minutes and 23 seconds, we were cheering like cheerleaders, on how much better they improved this ride! My kids went on again of course. I myself am getting a little old for such big coasters. But if you are a ride junkie, and can take a little excitement and adrenaline rush, then you must ride excellerator!! It freaked my freak, at how high and fast it was!! Total excitement!!

And now on to my 14 favorite foods to eat, at Knott’s Merry Farm:

1: Mrs. Knott’s Fried Chicken Dinner

Now, they have a restaurant, for a Sit-down meal, but right next to the restaurant, you will also find Knott’s Berry Farm’s Chicken to go, which is where you can order fried chicken meals, biscuits, and buckets of chicken, to take with you while you are on the move!

This is a must! We order chicken to go, and eat it at the outdoor dining tables, before we enter the park. We have done this for years. This chicken is so good, you will want to slap somebody! We bought a whole bucket of drumsticks, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and a dozen biscuits,  that are so good with boysenberry butter, and boysenberry jam! We had leftover drumsticks, and we were able to take it with us in the park, and munch on them throughout the day. That was fun. We rented a stroller, just for our fried chicken. So with that said, you must have Mrs. Knott’s Fried Chicken first. It’s truly life changing!

2: Snoopy Holiday Sugar Cookies!
