I just love decorating for all holidays, all year long. So today I am crafting, and I’m sharing a Disney Fall Wreath DIY.

Disney Fall Wreath DIY

I am a stay at home mom, with a home bakery business that I am still trying to get off the ground, and a food blog, that I’m working on to get off the ground, and I have been a spiritual life coach before all of these other dreams started. I find myself always working on something, because I love crafting, creating, putting something together, dreaming, and pretty things.

So my plan, is to eventually have a wreath for each season, and holiday. So far, I have spring, Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas.

And now I have Fall. This fall wreath will be placed on my front door, the beginning of September, and will stay on my front door until the middle of October, then I switch to my Halloween wreath that I showed before in a post. My Halloween wreath stays on my door until November 1st,

then I place my thanksgiving wreath for the whole month of November.

Then on December 1st, I place my Christmas wreath that stays on the whole month long.

I plan on making a wreath for New Years that will stay on in January, and a wreath for Valentine’s Day for February, and a St. Patrick’s Day wreath for March, then an Easter wreath followed by a summer wreath and a 4th of July wreath!!!

Whew! I might seem out of my pumpkin gourd, but I’m not, I promise!;) I just love something beautiful on my front door that represents the moment. I feel that it brings in the blessings of that season.

So as you can see, I am on a DIY mission! And as I have said on my last post about creating holiday wreaths, I am using up my kids old beanie babies and bean dolls that they no longer want around. Although, my 16 year old still love her kitty cat beanies.

So for this Disney Fall Wreath DIY, I found my Mickey Scarecrow bean bag dolls, that were just collectibles in their original plastic bags, in the garage, that aren’t worth very much, as far as collectibles go, and I have always wanted to show them off, because I just love them, and they are so beautiful and cute!

So off to the dollar store I went, and I bought some fall leaf garlands, faux fall flowers, fall ribbons, Mini Pumpkin Flower Picks and placed them around a wreath form that I got at an after Christmas clearance sale for 25 cents. I kept it in the garage, so that one day, I will finish my mission of holiday wreaths.

The secret that I have found to place garland around a wreath form, is to place the garland behind the form, and push just the leaves through. The wreath form, already has grass wire attached, so that it is easy to adhere the garland on the wreath.

It took me like four garlands to place around the wreath to make it look full enough. And another tip, is to not start the other garlands in the same spot that you started the first one, because then the leaves will just all end up in the same spots, and that is not what you want. You want them to be dispersed throughout, so start the remaining garlands at different spots on the wreath form.

Then I attached my bean dolls with a safety pin from the back, and I placed a greeting sign in the center. I hung an autumn bell at the bottom so that it rings, whenever the door is opened.

Then, just the other day, I found a cute mini cinnamon broom at my local Ralphs grocery store, and placed in on my wreath, and I’m not kidding when I say, that whenever I open the door, the smell of cinnamon comes through, and the scent is wonderful.

I placed a few sprigs of real eucalyptus leaves to add color, and even these have a wonderful fall scent. And now, my fall wreath is complete.

I have seen these wreaths for sale at very high prices, that I would love to buy, and while I know that the prices of those ready made Disney wreaths are worth the price, because being a cake decorator, I know the hard work, time, and money, that it takes to create something beautiful, sometimes our budget, just wont allow it. But one day, I will buy on of those beautiful Disney wreaths on Etsy.

So that is why I am on this mission to create my own in the meantime.
