Almond green tea latte

Today is a windy day. With a little chill in the air. Today is a perfect day for a cup of tea. I love drinking tea, and coffee. If I am not drinking coffee, I am drinking a cup of tea. Sometimes it has caffeine, and other times, I opt for caffeine free. Only because it keeps me up at night if I have a cup late in the day.

Another thing that I love to do, is to add cream, or milk to my tea. I love the way that it gives the tea a smoothness, and flavor that can’t be beat. The wind made a disaster out in my backyard, and I went to check on my Roma tomato garden, to see if it is still standing, and look at how many baby roma tomatoes are growing! I can’t wait until they get big and red. I hope they get big and red:/

It was pretty windy outside, as you can see below, so it was the perfect time to scoot back inside and have a hot, delicious cup of tea.

Now I am no doctor, but I keep hearing all kinds of good stuff about Green Tea, and the wonderful benefits that is can have for the body, so I am all for it, and I do think it has made a positive impact on my weight loss journey. I must say that having a food blog, and going on a diet, can be a challenge. But my main rule of thumb is everything in moderation. A taste here, a bite there, and yum, yum, yum!

All that you need for this tea is:

  • 8 0z hot water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 teaspoon organic honey
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk

Simple right? And so good too! So before the hot days hit here in Southern California, I am going to enjoy this hot, steaming, wonderful cup of tea. And keep praying for those tomatoes:)
