I love to start a cold morning, with a cup of steaming hot vanilla honey milk and a warm muffin for breakfast. I love to drink warmed milk, but we all are not able to enjoy this awesome drink, because of digestive issues when drinking milk. I experience this from time to time, but my husband Rob, has the most issues with this discomfort. He always had issues with milk, and to this day, he has a hard time whenever he drinks it.
He loves cereal and milk, peanut butter sandwiches with a tall glass of milk, cookies and milk, etc. So when I had the opportunity to try a2 Milk® I was super excited, because now we can all enjoy our favorite drink without any discomfort. And it’s delicious!
I love that I can add it to recipes like these Cranberry Breakfast Muffins and Warm Vanilla Honey Milk, and the taste and texture is still pretty much the same as organic milk. I even made some creamed peas and carrots which came out fabulous!
Here is a quote from the a2 Milk® website, explaining a little more about a2 Milk®:
– Ordinary cows’ milk contain a mix of both A1 and A2 proteins. Yet, only a2 Milk® comes from cows selected to naturally produce only A2 protein and no A1 – and that makes all the difference.
Independently published research support that the A1 protein in ordinary cows’ milk might cause discomfort in some of us. If that’s you, a2 Milk® may help. But for the unique benefits of a2 Milk® to work it needs to be the real deal – true a2 Milk®, from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein and none of the A1 – nothing added and nothing taken away. –
