new years foods

Every new years day, I am in the kitchen, cooking up some new years dishes. I feel, that it is the start of my brand new, shiny chance to accomplish, and even finish all of my goals. I am super superstitious, in that, I need to have at least Black Eye Peas, and Greens in the house on new years day.

Black Eye peas are the most recognizable lucky new years food. It is said that they bring good fortune in the new year. Here is a Hoppin’ John recipe that I made from a few years back.
